Digital Products
- How do I download digital resources?
When you have completed the checkout process you will be on the Order Confirmation page. The easiest way to download your purchased products immediately is to go to your My Products page by clicking on the "My Products" link located at the top of the page. You must be signed in to see the "My Products" link. Once you are on your My Products page, click on the title of the resource you want to download. This will take you to the product page for that resource where you will be given the option to download using a PC or a MAC. If you want to come back and download at another time, simply sign in and go to your My Products page.
If using a PC with Windows
Once you click Download PC, a dialog box will open asking you what you want to do with the file. Depending on your Web browser and the version of Windows you are using, it will give you the options to Open, Run, Save, Save As, or Cancel.
If you click Run or Open, you will then be asked where you want to save the file. The default location will be your desktop. Use the Browse function to change the location, and then click OK. The file will unzip and open automatically in that location.
If you choose Save or Save As, a box will open asking you to choose the location to save the file. Using the Save In arrow, select a folder, such as My Downloads or My Documents, and then click Save. Open the folder where you saved the file, and double-click on the file. It will "open" from that location.
Important note: Be sure you remember where you saved the file and what it is named! That will make it much easier to locate it later, and will prevent you from having to download it again. Also, please do not rename the file until you have successfully downloaded it to your computer.
If using a Macintosh with OSX
Once you click Download MAC, a DMG file will be placed on your desktop. If it does not launch automatically, double-click it. This will mount a volume containing the files for the chosen curriculum. This volume acts as a folder. You can discard the DMG file, but do not throw away the volume containing your PDFs.
Important note: Be sure you remember where you saved the file and what it is named! That will make it much easier to locate it later, and will prevent you from having to download it again. Also, please do not rename the file until you have successfully downloaded it to your computer.
- What should I do if I lose a study that I have already purchased?
Sign in. Click on the "My Products" link and this will take you to your complete Order History. From your Order History, you can download previous purchases at no additional cost. Once a study is purchased, you own it and never need to pay for it again.
- Can I make photocopies for my friend in another church, or e-mail the studies for them to use in their classes?
No. Individuals and churches are given permission to make photocopies of studies they download for use in a single class or to e-mail student handouts to class participants. Permission is not granted for distribution of these studies outside of your congregation. Those who distribute copyrighted materials from this Web site are in violation of these policies, and in violation of U.S. copyright laws, will have their access to the site revoked.

Worship Resources
- Where is the worship planner?
The worship planner was meant to be simple but our research and your feedback showed that it was not satisfactory. Most of our users have a method for bulletin creation that they are happy with and mostly desire resources available online to cut and paste into the bulletin. For that reason, and in a desire to keep costs down, we made the decision to end the worship planner program. We will still maintain a resource library, and the current hymnal search program will remain, free to all. In addition, the new hymnal site and resources will be part of The Presbyterian Leader.
- What other worship resources are available?
We have a resource library with digital worship resources available under the “Worship Resources" tab. These resources include prayers, worship bulletin templates, the Book of Confessions, the Presbyterian Hymnal Companion, and other helpful resources for planning and leading worship. Many resources are available for free and some are available for a small fee.
The Presbyterian Hymnal
- When will the new hymnal be published?
Glory to God: The Presbyterian Hymnal will be published in the fall of 2013. The hymnal is available for pre-order now, with many ordering options to make the hymnal affordable for your congregation.
- Why do we need a new hymnal?
The call to "sing to the Lord a new song" resounds through the Bible. In every generation, the people of God are called to claim their song, to bear witness to the new thing that God is doing in the world here and now. It might be helpful to think of the hymnal not as a product but as a process of discerning what the Spirit is saying to the church today. Our next hymnal will make available a great wealth of new hymns and spiritual songs that have been created since the 1990 hymnal was published. It will also give an opportunity to acquaint worshipers with wonderful resources from Christian communities around the world, and it will give us a chance to review again the great heritage of congregational songs and make sure our roots run deep. A new hymnal will help to articulate and preserve the distinctive elements of Reformed theology and liturgy, while shaping and nurturing the faith and worship of a new generation of Presbyterians.
- Who will decide what goes into the new hymnal?
Selections are made by the Hymnal Committee, also known as the Presbyterian Committee on Congregational Song (PCOCS), relying on extensive conversation with various constituencies in the denomination through surveys, focused consultations, and other methods of gathering input and feedback. The PCOCS consists of fifteen appointed voting members (two of whom are under the age of twenty-five), the editor (with vote), and three ex officio members appointed by the three denominational entities that are charged with responsibility for the hymnal: the Presbyterian Association of Musicians, the Presbyterian Publishing Corporation, and the Office of Theology and Worship.
